I definitely don't hate this but the I also like the first album a lot more

there are stretches on this that are pretty dull

 

Both are fantastic but very different vibes. Can easily see why someone would prefer either one.

 

First one makes me feel anxious, I need the right mind set to listen to it. This one is far more approachable and dynamic, imo.

 

I think Concorde is really good but the level of 'woah this is really not for me' I feel about just about everything else I've heard from this band is as out of touch as I've felt about music in my life haha.

 

Damn this is a fucked up record lol i didn’t care for the last one but this is great

 

gutted to find out good will hunting isnt a ludo cover

 

Really didn't mess with their last one, but I like this! I'm gonna have to revisit the other one.

 

I’m halfway through and I really enjoy the slow burn of most songs

 

I think I love this record. I am a sucker for the strings/horns/emo-rock whatever style this has going for it.

 

Also is the Billie Eilish line supposed to be a direct reference to "Bette Davis Eyes" or have I just listened to that song a million times in the past few years?

 

Can’t imagine anyone who likes post rock / emo not liking “The Place Where He Inserted The Blade”

Ian’s review for Pitchfork is wonderful. One of his best imo.
