Anyone using Wi-Fi Calling on iOS 9.3? Verizon enabled it with the new update and it's been inconsistent for some reason. Works perfectly at home but on my work's WiFi it always switches back and forth. Wonder if it's a firewall thing.

 

Probably that or QoS. I've used it with T-Mobile for some time now and haven't had any issues.

 

will we ever get a MacBook Air with Retina? I've been considering finally upgrading from my 2008 Aluminum MacBook but it looks like I should wait it out until June.

 

I highly doubt it. Making a Retina Air means that the MacBook is a failure. I think we see the Air eliminated in the next two years as the price of the MacBook drops.

I had seen a lot of talk about the new keyboard on the MacBook. I think it's great. Feels tighter and more natural than the loose keys from before.

 

I got an iPad Pro (12.9) last week and I'm blown away. Definitely thought it was going to be returned after a week, but I've got to say that the bigger screen is definitely better!

 

My boss picked up one of the new 9.7" iPad Pros for me today. The Smart Keyboard is surprisingly easy/comfortable to type on considering how small it is (the tiny tab key is pretty hilarious though). The new true tone display thing is really neat, too.

 

That's awesome! I really wanted the 9.7, but when Staples had $150 off the 128gb Pro last week I had to pull the trigger.

Weird how the screen and camera are better on the 9.7, but the RAM on the 12.9 is twice the amount (4gb vs 2gb). I wonder why Apple decided to have different specs on each device?

 

Yeah I find the discrepancies between the two to be very odd.

 

I'm just bitter that the MacBook is the price that it is. I really want one.

 

Not sure if it's still on sale, but Best Buy had them on sale with $300 savings a week or two ago. I think the base model was $999. It's a great machine but supposedly they're due for an upgrade in the next month or so.

No more sale, and I'm pretty sure they will be updated at WWDC in June. 13" and 15".

 

Now I'm just excited for WWDC in June.

 

I got the AppleTV4 on release day in November I think. Charged the remote to 100% when I got it and haven't charged it since. Today is the 1st time I've seen the 20% warning. Can't argue about that battery life!

 

Wait for gen 2, always. But that'll probably be my next laptop, it's just so nice and thin. Basically don't buy any Mac until they refresh, the processors need updated pretty badly.

 

completely forgot that thing has to be charged... I wonder when I'll see the 20% warning.

thanks for the advice, definitely waiting it out. my current MacBook is barely hanging on so I primarily use my Air 2 for consuming media.

 

Still bummed my Macbook Pro bricked in November.

 

Another day where a podcast feed decides that I haven't listened to a bunch of old episodes.

I'm assuming it's the feed, not iTunes/Podcasts, but it's really annoying.

Yup. I grabbed the keyboard and the pencil when I bought one. Great device with the accessories.
