Happiest is probably the Giants knocking off the Patriots in ‘08 but closely followed by Bucks in 6.

Saddest is….I want to say the Mets losing the WS but, in true Mets fashion they’ve somehow done way sadder stuff. Maybe the ‘07 collapse? Idk its definitely a Mets memory for saddest though.

That Giants victory (my #3 happiest moment) was truly legendary. I really don’t know how they stopped Brady and Moss. Seemed literally impossible considering they faced better defenses than NYG that year and still scored like 27-30 points. To this day I’ll never understand how the 2007 Patriots only scored 14.

I hated them so much. I was already sick of Brady by the third Super Bowl, really wanted McNabb/Westbrook/Dawkins to get that one. Then I had to sit through several 4pm or night games with my smug Patriots fan roommate after I’d get back to the dorm room from watching the Jags with my dad. He mutually didn’t like me and I didn’t like him. Liking football / Madden was one of the only areas we tolerated each other… but the whole season felt like a foregone conclusion his Pats would win, which sorta ruined the fun / suspense of what was also a really good Jags season - I knewall year we weren’t beating them in the playoffs.

Seriously the first day I move in his dad asks me what team I like and he goes “oh yeah? You like any winning teams?” And the Jags were actually pretty good at the time so i instantly felt competitive about it. And then every single week my roomie would put the Pats on and id root for the other team and they’d get absolutely smacked while he laid in bed and grinned.

I particularly despised the regular season games vs PHI, BAL, and NYG cause they were close af and I liked all 3 teams… but those were the first “Brady / ref favoritism” games I remember getting really pissed about. A person in my fantasy league at the time also had both Brady and Moss and was unbeatable, was salty about that too. Then they go to the playoffs and kick my team out after one of our top 3 best all time seasons, and then they beat the Chargers, another team I badly wanted to see in the SB, at their absolute peak too.

at this point I went from loving Randy Moss with a passion to feeling so dejected that he and Tom Brady were gonna dominate the NFL for the next 10 years, and then the unthinkable happens, they get shut down and fuckin LOSE by a team that was average af everywhere except the defensive line, LOL. Like, HOW? I still don’t get it but I’m so glad it happened. I was elated and I loved Strahan and Tuck so much that day. Me and my Giants fan friend ran out in the snow with our shirts off fuckin shouting our heads off lol

 

Happiest moment was probably the Dodgers WS win, saddest will be this Sunday.

 

Wait I thought the pro bowl was always in Hawaii? Who thought it was a good idea to put the pro bowl in Vegas?

I can’t believe the world is still talking about Deflategate haha

 

First I've heard it in awhile

 

The only reason to bring up deflategate ever is to compare it to how the nfl investigates and punishes actual serious things

 

I guess Florio has a book coming out that reports that after Deflategate the NFL was spot checking a bunch of balls at cold and hot games and found the balls were oftentimes out of range due to temperature, and then supposedly expunged the numbers.

 

Yeah nobody doubts the Patriots both constantly skirt the rules and got overpunished for deflategate.
