The Switch has continued momentum and is easy and cheap to produce, of course they’re not interested in killing it yet

Elden Ring is definitely shaping up to be a great game for newbies to the series.

  6. Finished New Vegas fourth DLC. Somehow packs a lot of depth despite having the least amount of speaking characters. Or maybe it's just fluff, the drawn out ramblings of an old man. idk, I liked it. In a way, it tied the other DLCs together, the culmination of all their foreshadowing. And ugh, this series made me care about a robot--again! Much darker than the other DLCs, and possibly my favorite if it weren't for how silly and fun the third one was. Arcadia from Fallout 4 is still my favorite DLC location and story, though, but these last two NV DLC were really, really good.

I think, in lieu of resubbing to Gamepass, I might just get RE VIllage, and MK11 finally, while they're on sale, as a Lunar New Year/two year coming out anniversary present to myself.

    edit: I bought em

wtf is Re-verse lol why would i want to fight against other protagonists in the series about killing zombies
at least you can play as Jill, Ada, and Claire, I guess?

  10. okay I've now obtained all the campaign trophies, now just have to decide if I have any motivation for multiplayer or if I should just go back to Ratchet & Clank. also just picked up Hollow Knight on PSN for $6 because I've actually never gotten around to playing it (heresy I know, don't yell at me @sophos34)

  13. haha, I remember hearing a bunch about it when it came out and being like "this looks really good, I would like it" but then as is always the case I had so many other games to play

Really good, but not great performance on the OG PS4. Real bad frame rate drops, particularly in the hub area, and a couple of crashes (which is super super rare for me). To the point that I now flinch and hold my breath going through doors as I know it'll lag really bad and might crash.

I must be starting the final stretch of Valhalla. I’m just slightly underleveled for it (I’m 243 and it recommends 280) but I’ve been feeling quite OP lately with my gear and skills and abilities all just about maxed out so I think I’ll be fine. At about 53 hours played and howlongtobeat says 58 is average which sounds about right, I didn’t ignore side stuff at all but the story was mostly my focus for the majority of my time. Which is fine because outside of some rather meh zone stories and the frustratingly lazy turn of both Dag and Sigurd, the story has been engaging and Eivor (male anyway) has been a strong protagonist and there has been meaningful choices to make along the way and many zone stories that are engaging and meaningfully bleed over into other zones making your progress feel real and really builds out the world.
