I get he’s bitter about how it ended but if it didn’t end that way he’d have 6 rings and the Patriots wouldn’t have a qb. Belichick has looked like a fool for about a year and change now but if Mac is good it was the right decision for both sides.

 

I can't wait for all this Tom Brady shit to be over and done with so that we can let the next generation of players shine! Like I know that Mac Jones could lead the Pats to just as many super bowls as Brady did....Its time for someone else to shine on the field and in the NFL.

Why Patriots fans being salty he didn’t mention them

he didn’t mention the Bucs either? Was a pretty personal statement haha. He has implied before that the main reason he’s retiring is to be more present in his kids’ & wife’s lives and that seemed to be the tenor of this statement too

 

By the time I started watching football Brady was already a two time super bowl champion

He went into great detail thanking the Bucs and Tampa, and the fans and the coaches and the owners... Then he thanked friends who had been with him since the Michigan days. So it would have been appropriate to at least through the pats a bone since he literally thanked so many other people. I am sure he wrote something heartfelt when he left to go to Tampa about New England, but it still seems like it was an intentional omission.
