Same. Also like 0% chance that the Tucson version is heavy. Sounds like the album version is still great but hopefully we get an eventual live release or something with the heavy one

 

That definitely sucks, but at least my expectations are set now and I can go into it appreciating it for what it is

 

Even the album version of Simulation Swarm, which I obviously still love, is more subdued than it was live

 

Preorder supposedly arriving to me on Thursday

 

Hopefully there will be a release like Live at the Bunker Studio where they'll tear apart songs like Dragon.
With that said, I still really look forward to hearing the studio version (and the Tucson one), as it's being described as ethereal and shimmery. And I can 100 % see that, with Adrianne's solo version in mind. Some of her best vocal lines are in the song.

Well I assume this is going to leak sometime this week. And since I preordered months ago I will most definitely seek it out because I have no will power

 

I'm gonna wait till I get my record, or the 11th. Mitski, Circa, and BCNR are all out this weekend and I wanna make sure I play the hell out of those before I dive into this.

 

This is true. BCNR is going to occupy a lot of my time. Empath also comes out the 11th. 3 releases that are going to be very high on my year end list no doubt.

 

BCNR is going to be so fucking good. After a few listens to the leak, AnCo is my favorite thing they've done since MPP. Mitski was probably my most anticipated but now maybe not with how stacked the next two weeks are haha

 

AnCo, Spoon, and Beach House are my veteran act comfort foods the next 3 weeks.

None have me brimming with fresh excitement like BT, BCNR and Empath, but I know all 3 will be very good.

I dont know Empath but based on the bands you list and we seem to align musically, im going to check it out now haha

 

Empath is a band I want to love and on paper should love, but boy howdy they put me to sleep…

 

They didn’t really click with me until I heard “Born 100 Times”, which is one of my favorite songs of the year.

all 3 singles from the new one are excellent.
