not a video game, but if you like oldschool 8-bit NES kinda music, i did an 8-bit version of one of my punk band's songs this week. haha.

 

I loved the first 6-8 hours of Recore. Started to feel like a chore after that.

 

not only is this funny because this crypto bro chose the smarmiest possible tone to insult ubisoft's audience with, not only is this funny because valve had this concept humming perfectly like a brand new car a decade and change ago with tf2 and counter-strike, i think what's funniest to me is that if you take this

and follow it to its logical extension, we should be able to just, y'know, sell the used games via the game key to other people. but of course then ubisoft wouldn't get their cut. oops. so much for our digital secondary market benefits

 

Everything about Prime is cool except the gameplay

I've actually never even looked into them to fully know what I am missing out on haha.

 

ori, dead cells, hollow knight, etc can all be traced back to super metroid. and metroid dread was one of the best games of 2021

 

Yeah, I love games "inspired" by the series. I just never had friends into the series and only ever had Gameboy, so I skipped series entirely. I have a switch now so I should give Dread a shot.

 

Metroid is a series that was ahead of its time when it first started, which is a kind way for me to say that the original Metroid is terrible. II is also terrible, even though I owned it and played the shit out of it. Super and beyond is where it's at.

I forgot I had dark souls on my Xbox 360 so I decided to dabble in and it almost makes me want to just wait until the remaster comes in because the graphics are ROUGH

 

just bought ratchet & clank: rift apart, which means there's a good chance it'll be free with ps plus in march
