I know they’ve been demoing new Weatherbox so fingers crossed for something next year! I just want Brian to be taken on a solid tour ASAP.

I can see Oso Oso easily taking them out since Jordan plays drums for Oso and Jade loves Weatherbox.

 

Used the nightcafe creator site and put in “take me to your darkest place” and this is what it came up with

Are these guys still planning on releasing an album at some point? I’m pretty sure they said they were working on one and came out with a few (really dope) songs on their Halfway Home Sessions EP in 2019, but then kinda petered out

 

someone had told me on here that those were from old writing sessions that never saw the light of day. But their drummer (who also plays in Oso) posted an article on his Instagram a while back where he said they were planning to release a weatherbox record in the next year. But I don’t remember how long ago that was.

 

Yeah I’ve heard rumblings for 2-3 years but I have no clue at this point.

 

Didn’t they post a board awhile back showing them tracking an album?

 

Yeah, I remember that. I would assume it's still in progress

 

I thought Andy Hull was working on it with them too

 

Jordan confirmed the gram story with the whiteboard was not associated with a weatherbox project

 

that's disappointing

 

latest on the box front.... "there's definitely a lot of songs that we are just waiting to record right now" and in terms of sound "def it's own thing! some classic box stuff but has a spin on it". Unfortunately there is no timeline on when this material will actually be recorded. So for now we wait.

 

i'll take whatever crumbs of news we can get!

I would say there are moments on the recent Petey album that remind me of The Box

 

Hell yeah that Petey album rules. He actually sounds a lot like Isaac Brock at times and I can see the Box influences too
