  1. yeah this is the Borderlands 2 DLC... which is... as good a teaser for the next game as any.

Borderlands 3 sucked imo, the gameplay felt so outdated and sluggish to me, it needs a major overhaul

Never mind I thought it was the full game weak

The Tiny Tina DLC is essentially a stand alone game and is up there with one of the best DLC’s. Looking forward to the new game.

I remember I got super deep into fallout lore and I was watching a whole series dedicated to what happened in each vault and there was some crazy writing in there tbh.

like they really fleshed out the world well.

  6. that was always the coolest part of Fallout, just discovering random places and piecing together what happened there

  7. I could not disagree more vehemently with this statement. I went in there with every fiber of my being ready to hate the game but it actually felt snappy and fun. I strongly recommend playing it in whatever mode offers 60fps.

yeah I remember some of those vaults having crazy experiments going on and I was just like wow.

I think it was Sophgod who shared this but it was v good and it really went into why the game is now a failure.

it also brings back the vaunted debate do you balance the game around pros or the casual fan base and they choose pros and it killed the game for me.

  11. I played vanilla BL3 until I maxed out every character, I loved it, and it got me through early quarantine. I'm apparently of the minority that didn't find Ava or the twins terribly annoying. But, as I said, I hated how they released their DLC in two season passes, so I never touched it. (Also, obligatory "fuck RP.")

  12. And yeah, as cool as it is wandering Fallout's post-apocalyptic open world, exploring the Vaults is the coolest thing, those experiments can be so fucked up.

  15. Thinking of getting Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider for $15 on Steam even though I'm pretty sure both are on Gamepass and won't be leaving anytime soon. I mean, that's the dilemma with Gamepass vs Steam in general, right? Maybe with Microsoft's acquisitions like Bethesda they might keep them there for good or cycle some games in and out, but other games could just leave and not come back.

  16. and I guess there's also the argument that you should avoid DRM altogether

If they are first party games they shouldn’t leave

Xbox have said that first party games will never leave the service aside from certain things like past Forza games where specific licenses expire, so you should be good

Finished up Death’s Door, great little game. Moved on to Nobody Saves the World now. About 45 minutes in and really loving it so far

On the subject of fucked up experiments...

    Player's Log: Covid Simulator.

I decided to go for what I considered to be the worst case scenario. Max number of employees at 200, all in one room, starting with one infected. No mandates, no one masking, no one vaccinated, workdays at all hours, but still with shifts and days off because I'm not a total monster. Still using Omicron. You know, full fucking beast.

Anyway, I then left for work and let it run while I was gone. I'm back now, and these are the results: 84 dead. Of the 115 employees left, over 80 are infected but over 70 of those are asymptomatic. 13 are mildly sick, 1 is sick sick, 1 is very sick, and 1 is in the ICU.

Also, because I don't know why, the game also tracks the profit my company is making, which is currently -641320. Meaning that not only am I forcing my employees to work in these conditions, but they're also very likely not getting paid either. If this game strived for actual realism, they'd be on strike right now.

Of the people left, 50 are pro vax and 64 are actually anti-vax, and yet absolutely no one is vaccinated at all, even the pro-vaxxers. Wild.

I think I'm done playing God. I need to take a shower and wash the shame off of me.

EDIT: I should also mention that when I ended the simulation just now, it was past 2200 days, so this is the result after years of Covid.

It is kind of weird that DR3 isn’t on there considering Microsoft published it and it was an XB1 exclusive

i still stand by that was a decent game but it felt like dead rising 4 was a step down

Agreed. 3 was pretty great. The DLC was solid as well.

4 was a step down for sure, but I still enjoy my time with it for what it was. Would really love a return to form for that series.
