Sooo when am I gonna get my download link to Digital Ghost that I paid extra money for? I'm just curious if it's in any higher quality than what it originally streamed at

  4. I actually think this has the best dual vocals or whatever you call them in their entire career.

some days I think the front half of the album is the best but others I think the back is the best

My favorite part of disambiguation was how far Spencer stretched his vocal ability to make up for the loss in his second vocalist. I like how all the experimentation and progress he’s made as a vocalist is fully in tact here while there’s plenty of room for Aaron to contribute in a meaningful way. Thorn is the best example of this. That hook doesn’t work without the two of them

i revisited erase me today. hard to exaggerate how profound an upgrade voyeurist is from this. "ihateit," really incredible bridge aside, sounds transmitted from a bad alt universe linkin park record. the best songs on erase me ("has to start somewhere," "no frame," "sink with you") seem to gesture toward what they're doing on voyeurist without being quite as good or, and this is the really significant shift, atmospheric

As specifically a disambiguation fan, I'm digging this. I hated the erase me singles so much I didn't touch it.

Miss the Daniel Davidson weird drums though, although I know it's a different artistic intent.
The album is busier sounding than ø so it wouldn't get to shine that much.

Daniel Davidson is such a great drummer, from ETID to the album he did for The Colour Revolt, but ø is heavy drummer heaven.

"pneumonia" is such an emotional journey every time

the last verse was written by mctague about his father's death and it's the best lyric on the record

Would be so into either DGD or TDWP but I honestly have no idea how either of their tour schedules line up.
Long shot but Anberlin would be fun, just wouldn't fit in sonically, although I think of them as sister-bands.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

I was hoping it might be La Dispute, but Anberlin actually makes a lot of sense, between them being friends, Anberlin initially reuniting for an Underoath show and Tim producing "Two Graves."

I'm excited for the announcement, but no matter who it is, it's going to be a huge step back and letdown compared to ETID for me personally.

Can't see it being La Dispute and don't know how most people would like that announcement but I'd be stoked. But I agree everything compared to ETID is a bit sad, especially since I never got to see them live. DGD and TDWP, while I enjoy them, I just have seen them live so many times I'd rather it be somebody else. I was at the show where Anberlin played with them and I would not be mad if they were the replacement because they are always great live. Still holding out for Alexisonfire though.

Yeah I don’t see any band coming close to the magnitude of every time I die and can’t think of anyone similar that I would be as excited for that “fits”

i was already on board for Spiritbox being a supporting act, so if Anberlin joins, i'm gonna freak out in a way i've never experienced.
