i really don’t think taking a couple at fault sacks in a game like that is that horrible though

when your offense is doing literally nothing it’s okay to take some risks to stretch out that defense, the Titans were never gonna let up if he kept dinking and dunking. He avoided turnovers, completed 28 passes, took a few sacks along the way that were on him… but most QBs definitively, absolutely play worse if they had the same number of plays that absolutely fell the fuck apart in one game

You can probably blame Burrow for 2-3 sacks but even still, 5-6 sacks is too many in a playoff game.

Dude took a few (2 or 3) 2019 Josh Allen run backward to avoid pressure and make it so much worse sacks and I thought he was gonna kill them

 

Him, Autry, and Simmons just dominated that game. It was a lot of interior pressure coming right at him

That last INT is on Tannehill. Trying to make a play for sure, but he's throwing to a tight route with 4 other defenders right around there. Honestly, a very similar play to his first interception, just thrown a half second earlier.

The 2nd interception is just brutally unlucky

 

Hell they even blitzed on the play he dropped a dime to Chase to get in FG range

you’re not wrong — my main complaint was that, watching Rivers for a year and then Wentz for a year has made it very apparent how much of a difference the QB makes on perceived offensive line performance, and in that vein, Burrow is the league “leader” in pressures to sack ratio (number of credited pressures that result in a sack) and that aptness to take the sack just showed up a lot to me today

This by the way, is what first decade of his career Big Ben would do ALL THE TIME. He was so convinced of his strength to shake off a sack and make a play that he never threw the ball away. It wasnt bad reads, just arrogance. And so he had 4 straight 45+ sack seasons...and then last year only took 13 sacks all season
