Said it in the streaming thread but the “we need to have a dramatized movie or series of everything that happens within 3ish years” thing that the industry has fallen into is really exhausting

Just watched Jesse Eisenberg's debut film and it's pretty damn great.

It's basically Noah Baumbach+cringe comedy

I really hope Julie Delpy was lying and a Before movie comes out this year. There has been too much darkness in the world to lose that story.

 

I spend way too much time thinking "I wonder if the actress who plays Flo from progressive is artistically satisfied". I think it ever time I see one of those ads.

I mean she had a reoccurring role in the first season of Mad Men. She could have had a good career as a character actress playing a lot of interesting roles. Now she's stuck playing the same character to sell overpriced car insurance the rest of her life.

 

Absolutely do not want to see a movie about the insurrection anytime soon, and probably never.

I'm really not a big anime guy at all but I just finished watching Cowboy Bebop for the first time after being recommended it for several years (the real one, not the live action one) and I fucking loved it. A bit of filler but it fully lived up to the hype, I was really attached to the characters by the end and the animation and music hold up perfectly today

Now apparently I need to watch Samurai Champloo too but I have to be quick because apparently it's leaving Hulu in 12 days

 

Watching X-Files and there Is an episode in season 1 about evil genetically enhanced clones with a character named "Eve 6" and I just now realized that's where that band got their name from.
