It’s like this herbal powder supplement that has like opioid properties and people use it for like pain relief and things like that, you can find it pretty much in any head shop, smoke shop, CBD retailer, etc. It has a dubious rep though because it has addictive properties and other nasty side effects.

At the end of the day it sucks things ended like this but we should definitely be thankful for what we got. More importantly, I hope Keith sorts out whatever he needs to sort out and the others go on to be successful with their next steps in life :)

Maybe in time, they'll be able to reconnect?

I see them reuniting eventually, there's just too much history and camaraderie (and literal blood) for them not to at least try. But that's just the optimist in me. For now I'm just trying to accept that one of my all-time GOAT favorite bands ever have imploded in a sad, acrimonious fashion and may never work together (with Keith) ever again.

God, they are like, the last band I ever thought I'd see go through something like this.

In some way I’m actually less surprised by this than others. This has always been a band of quite strong personalities. Something, someday, was going to get in the way. Just don’t think any of us had a pandemic as being the beginning of the end.

Drama aside, my little farewell/ode to the band...
I will always be bummed by how long it took me to get into them. They were a name I saw on AP.net over and over again from 2012 onwards but it took me seeing them open for TBS in 2018(?) to finally "get it". Later that year they did 2 nights in a row in Denver on their 20 year tour and I got tickets to both nights and fell in love (actually had a conflict with them and The Wonder Years on night 2 and fully expected to go see TWY but night 1 was so good I had to do it again). Thus began a run of seeing them 13-14 times in the next few years, traveling to TID the season twice, seeing all three nights of the NYC boat shows in 2019, and becoming a full on superfan. When they started touring again this year, I bought flights for my best friend and myself to go see them in Memphis the day before Furnace Fest and then again see two nights of the Radical tour in Colorado since the all of the venues were so intimate. It almost seemed like overkill at the time but now I am glad we did it. They really became the centerpiece of my musical interests in the past few years and I couldn't be happier to have seen them as much as I did but I do feel like I "missed out" on some of the golden years. The biggest bummer to me will be the loss of Tid the Season, as it had become an annual excuse to gather with my best friend and brother as we all got older and life responsibilities took over. Really hope they manage to move past it all one day and do it one more time but for now I will just be a bit sad and thankful for finally coming around them. Anyways, I mostly lurk on this site but felt compelled to post. Be kind to each other guys.

If you want borderline ETID ripoff try American Slang. Kublai Khan, Left Behind, Year of the Knife, Mouth For War, Judiciary, and Xibalba for other hardcore stuff.
