I mean... you don't generally get multiple people asking what you meant by something if you adequately explained it the first time around.

Also, you should know that the result you get when you Google this is not rooted in historical accuracy re: The Beatles, but it IS rooted deeply in misogyny. So... Yeah, I guess you were right. You did kinda make it clear what you probably meant by it. Just doesn't seem like you meant to, since you're not willing to actually own the implications.

None of the band members are even saying Angie (whose name I only know because of weirdos online) did anything wrong. Dudes online took her existence and ran with it

You said a misogynistic thing, and whether you realized it or not when you posted it, you’re being informed now. “Yoko ruined the Beatles” is a common piece of inaccurate, sexist lore that sounds like you’ve never really examined, as many people unfortunately also probably take at face value. Maybe watch Get Back or look into why it’s not true and just do better next time!

 

Got it. I agree, and that's why I'm taking a step back from this thread.

 

Despite Keith's numerous explanations of his female lead relationship and his own admission that shit has been bad in the band since 2014, that couldn't possibly be the reason. Even Steve saying she tried to get Keith to talk to the band did nothing to dissuade them. In their limited view she showed up and shit changed so she has be be at fault. Some deeply, deeply rooted sexism
