Lolla has their headliners books before the current year ever takes place. So like even tho they haven’t announced the 2022 lineup they already have their 2023 headliners locked In or pretty close to being locked in

so I’m sure the same can be said about bamboozle

I've been to numerous of hip hop/rap shows and people definitely look out for each other.

What happened at Astroworld isn't exclusive to the hip hop/rap genre, it's happened at other festivals with rock based genre's.

I know it’s not exclusive to one genre and it happens else where. I just think cuz of how bad Astroworld was now everyone is gonna bash everything live nation puts on.

Implying that people at hip hop/rap shows don’t look out for each other is a bad look, especially since I’ve felt more unsafe at times at pop punk shows than hip hop shows.

Most the people bashing live nation have zero clue what all they put on and they themselves are going to be at numerous of Live Nation venues and tours this year.

You're beyond way off in your added comments to your original posts. I’ve been to numerous of shows of all genres, rap included, where they stop shows if something is going on.

I did a little digging into the venue and found this video. 1.5 MILLION square feet ground. I can't imagine there being much sound bleed with them that spaced apart. It won't be a picnic navigating from stage to stage, but still, it's not undoable.

Idk I just see the success this venue's had with Lovers & Friends and it makes me more optimistic.

Haha this sums up my frustration completely. Go on The Festival Owl's facebook page and read the thousand comments under posts for this festival. It's baffling the conspiracy theories people are choosing to believe regarding....a music festival? It hurts my head just saying it. This is why we have come to a standstill in vaccination rates lol

One person went on a whole rant about how "This same promoter announced a festival for 2020 called Lovers and Friends, AND THEY CANCELLED IT!" Um yeah, did you forget about Covid and the world shutting down in 2020? smh

Related to this and on my mind as a bitter east coaster---I am a bit peeved that they put this thing out west when so many of the 3rd wave emo/pop punk heavyweights came out of the Midwest and East Coast lol. Give us an east coast date!

I love that the festival owl became a thing because I never heard of them before the Coachella rumors

They'd be stupid to ignore the pop punk scene at this point because millennials are in the sweet age range where many of us are still young enough to go to a festival if we really really want to, AND we have the money to spend on it that Gen Zers may not all have yet haha

Obviously festivals are still primarily younger crowds, but still...they could really tap into that 27-40 age range if they started loading up on more of the early 2000s bands

I just love how some of the bands reactions do seem to be "oh...okay?" lol...like TBS's "well this looks fun" or whatever announcement definitely had a hint of "oh wow had no idea it was going to be like this" lol

Also, in that mock, if Alkaline Trio, Dashboard, and AFI played at the same time....that would be utter devastation for me.

I can’t find it, but my gf told me about a TikTok she saw today where Buddy from SF said he had no idea SF got booked for that festival. But considering what he posted on his story today, I’m gonna assume he was kidding
