Okay now i'm just down a rabbit hole and avoiding work

 

Nothing strikes fear into the hearts of wrestlers than the name GUNTHER

 

i immediately think of the kid from Dennis the Menace

 

As a German who is actually named Claus, let me jump in here and say that WWE should have googled the combination of first and last name. It is that easy.

Oh well, guess they fasttracked the "lose part of your name"-thing this time and now he is just Gunther.

In German you would pronounce Gunther "Goonter". More often you'll find it with an Umlaut: Günther (which would be pronounced as Gynter). #randomfacts

 

My hot take is GUNTHER on its own is not a bad name and nobody would look twice if the name was established when he signed with the company and had they done some googling before trademarking the original name. But they didn’t so the name sucks

 

Gunther on it's own is fine (albeit stupid considering you've already established Walter not just on NXT UK, but in other NXT appearances and even the main roster).

I truly cannot fathom how you even get so far as to the full name that is out there as a possibility without it being a deliberate decision by the company. I mean, this is the same company that changed War Machine's name not that long ago. They know what is out there when it comes to naming people and securing trademarks and whatnot.

 

Few things sadder to me than this all getting wasted for Goldberg to win a title he didnt need

Britt's run has been so good that Im not sad Stat didnt win back at All In...but man, the pump up of OC yelling her back into the ring leading to the her winning would have exploded that building.

I think she's the right person to take it off Britt and there's plenty of heels for her to work with

 

A quick Cagematch search tells me they worked together twice in 2017; one v Havok/Callihan, and another beating Ropopongi Vice

edit; They were the WC BipBop Tag Team Champs and had to vacate when Cole debuted in NXT, hilariously enough

 

I love how much of a great fit she has been with Best Friends/Chaos. She's really good at the non-wrestling stuff and constantly improving in ring.
