This obviously sucks and we could speculate forever.

How about dropping some rad ETID memories as there are many? I saw them in Orlando on the Low Teens run and it was WILD. Daniel was cool enough to chat after the show. Steve was not there for a wedding so Jordan and Andy swapped turns taking Bass parts. I went through a traumatic season related to pregnancy and childbirth and Low Teens was a truly cathartic experience for me on long runs the entire year after it came out.

I create content for some of your favorite artists

I got to be on stage with the band in Berlin and had the mic for "I am the man who sank Atlantis, the bottom is not the lowest we get" part of map change and it was the coolest

Had a blast doing photos for them once when they toured with The Ghost Inside. Also loved the times I was able to get on stage and have fun with them during sets. No other band can compare.

Sounds of the Underground 2007 was my first chance getting to see them live. First show I ever went to alone. True joy in one of only two proper circle pits I’ve ever experienced. Bored Stiff.

very casual fan here, but it seems pretty clear to me that there’s years and years worth of mounting animosity between Jordan and Keith specifically, and there’s a non-zero chance that Keith is being truthful in that he has faced some sort of trauma or abuse from his brother over the course of some part of his life. it’s entirely possible that this is stuff that he experienced while the rest of the band were not around or things they just brushed off in the moment or well…. who knows. the point is there are still a lot of unknowns. as forthcoming and honest as some people involved seem to be trying to be here, unless I am missing something pretty much everyone’s accounts seem to be starting from some point over the past few months, and not addressing claims of seemingly many years-long personal issues between the two brothers. like, solely zooming into the last few months for sure makes Keith look pretty much entirely at fault but I am extremely skeptical this is a brand new development and not something that has been years brewing that just finally reached a boiling point for Keith in light of the changes he’s been going through. idk hopefully I am making some semblance of sense here, I just personally don’t feel comfortable making any snap judgments based on what we currently know. it’s all really messy.

Saw them in Lisbon in a venue since closed with two floors, I think Ex Lives was almost coming out. Last time they came, can't remember but maybe the first as well. I was using crutches due to a torn ligament so I was on the second floor enjoying the show.
They were stoked to see a couple of people stage diving from the second floor, near me actually. A great, relentless show.

Didn't make it out to one of the shows this past run but I am so happy that there are videos of Josh Scogin doing his part from the new album. He jumps into the crowd almost immediately when he starts like he can't possibly contain himself. It's awesome that 68 was on the last tour and that happened in real life and not just on the album.

It is probably really really hard to be in a band that tours consistently 75%+ of the year as ETID always did with your sibling and not develop some sort of resentment towards them

    EDIT: especially after 23 years

  10. Being around siblings for holidays makes me resent them. I can’t imagine touring year round with those mfs.

It’s hard for me to look at any side here and not shake my head.

    it’s a shame this happened

I see my brother maybe twice a year and want to kick the shit out of him each time.

I couldn’t imagine spending endless days on the road with him.

I didn’t realize that Josh had a feature on Radical until I listened to the record for the first time. Hearing his voice out of nowhere gave me goosebumps. I teared up watching the live video of him going straight into the crowd. It brought such warm memories of The Chariot.

One of my favorite personal favorite shows I’ve been to was in 2008, they were on a bill that was Killswitch Engage, Dillinger Escape Plan, them, and Parkway Drive. Show was incredible, also got to meet Andy and Keith, who were the kindest people to a young dorky me. I’ve seen them so many times and grew old with them, it genuinely sucks seeing this happening as a fan.

Lots of great memories with this band, unfortunately most of them from the 00s. Wish I had made a priority of seeing them again....

Pretty sure it was Warped Tour 06, I got a setlist off the stage, then popped by the merch tent later in the day and got the whole band to sign it - still have that.

Saw them at Rams Head in Baltimore in 2007 with Underoath and Poison the Well, an absolutely phenomenal, raucous show.

I know I saw them one other time as well but I am having a hard time recalling. Will never forget hearing Hot Damn! for the first time in 2003....

I only saw them once for a 20 min Warped set over a decade ago. Every time they came through Boston, I would always say that I would just catch them next time. Lesson learned.

November last year watching their set from side stage was very fun and something I won’t forget. They were on their A game that night and you wouldn’t have guessed there was any issues going on behind the scenes.

Sorry, I'll have an actual memories post later as they are bar none my favorite band outside of MCR. Shit fucking sucks.

  20. I only saw them 6-7 times in a nearly two decade long fandom, can’t say there were any particularly special experiences but man did they rip live. Love that they never used a click so the songs were always twice the speed haha. Favorite lineup I think was probably the one with them, Maylene, and Underoath right after TBD came out

I don’t think anyone has issues with Keith‘s sobriety.

most people just take issue with the fact that after he became sober he started sounding like a whacked out holier than thou weirdo cult leader that ended up destroying (at least) 4 people‘s livelihood.

he doesn’t owe us, his fans, anything. But he still torpedoed a business that a lot of people depended on to put food on the table, including himself and his child and his nephew.

I don’t really want to go back and forth on this but this is an absurd ass post and it’s clear to me from the last three months of your posts that Keith is the villain in your head and that’s the only way you’ll ever view this scenario despite the immense amount of nuance behind the scenes that none of us are actually privy to because this isn’t our life. just feels pointless to even pretend you’re being reasonable when you’re saying shit like this, on top of every other post you’ve made since November, but rock on man im removing myself from the conversation because it’s clear to me that’s not what you’re actually interested in, considering you didn’t quote me (but clearly are referencing what I said) and address absolutely nothing I actually had an issue with and also somehow the blame for the implosion lays solely at the feet of Keith for some reason. this shits just weird and I want no part of it.

We will likely never know the actual truth, but when one party is posting systemically on social media rashly, about to go on talking tours about "their truth," while the other party is quieter with a more legitimate approach to business dealings it's easy to have feelings towards sides/where the truth likely is.

When you periodically frame something as "my truth" it consistently gives off the vibe that it is actually farther from the actual truth.
