On this whole issue, folks are right, Jordan's wife is deeeeeeeeep into MAGA / Qanon bullshit (you can find a bunch of her stuff on twitter). Definitely wonder if those political differences also helped drive them apart. Also I very much hope Jordan ISN'T into that shit, because that would be suuuuuch a bummer.

Keith's lyrics have always been one of my favorite things about ETID and that's no exception on Radical. That being said, much like Dustin in Thrice, you have to compromise sometimes when those words don't fit into everyone's worldview. Obviously there are many more issues at play here, but Keith acting like his art was not being respected is being disrespectful to others in the band who contributed their art to the exact same song(s). If a drummer hates a guitar part, you collectively as a band try to re-work it. Lyrics should be no different, especially when they can be more easily interpreted by fans as something that speaks for the whole band.

Dustin’s lyrics are really good. Thrice has always had Dustin’s views buried in the lyrics (marriage, religion, politics parenthood), but I felt he kept it metaphorical enough or loose enough it could be still enjoyed at all. He kept fully “going there” to (some of the) releases in his name.

So I see the recent stuff but have I missed things before. Has this been going on for awhile with them because some of this sounds like brothers who just don't get along

I got an ETID tattoo and ten days later they breakup:facepalm: honestly it's crazy to see all of this playing out the way it is and such a bummer after a career high record. I have this weird hope they will figure it out but fuck that ship has sailed.

Let's get these people moving faster!

Plus, considering the rest of the band sided with him, suggests his wife's views are a huge red herring in this whole fallout.
