I love this album.

 

I think I’ve listened to this on every run since it came out, incredible.

 

It’s funny how I love this album but for some reason it got me listening to my dear melancholy a bunch more

the transition from best friends to is there someone else becoming a staple on TikTok is my fave because it’s so good

 

That intro synth line is such an instant classic

While listening today I seriously considered if I wanted to get some of the lyrics from Jim’s “speech” at the end as a tattoo. Whether the lyrics themselves or a visual representation of part of the lyrics. I’ll have to seriously consider it but I know picking one or two lines is gonna be tough.

 

This also has been one of those albums where my favorite song changes with each listen. What’s humorous is because I listen while I run I have no idea what the titles are so one of these days I’m gonna have to listen at home so I can track what songs people are talking about in this thread lol

 

For me, the emotional crux of the song is “Consider the flowers. They don’t try to look right. They just open their petals and turn to the light.”

For some reason that breaks me open every time.

 

I really wonder who wrote that outro. If it was Abel or Jim or both it's extremely impressive, it's a legit amazing poem

has anyone listened to the early leaked pre-trilogy demos that were collected together as "The Noise"? They aren't great, which isn't shocking, but it's definitely an interesting listen. I'll probably never listen a second time, but hearing a young Abel before he really figured out his style is kinda cool

Been listening to this almost every day since it came out, just incredible. Some thoughts:

Out of Time 100% sounds like a Off The Wall/Thriller era Michael Jackson song, the production perfectly mimics Quincy Jones.

I Heard You’re Married is the weakest song on the album. Also, Every Angel Is Terrifying is cool but it’s def a weird addition to the album.

The overall production on this album is incredible, every thing sounds so big and rich with laser precision. No matter what I listen to it on, I’m never disappointed.
