There's a really unsettling atmosphere throughout the album which really pulls everything together for me thematically. I think the album's length is a strength as well. I am really enjoying this album after numerous spins.

I also think sonically this is just more interesting and varied then their pre-Erase Me stuff. Breaks things up from being so ultra-heavy and exhausting all the time.

I'm running a local half marathon tomorrow with handful of my running friends. I'm going in as casual training run just to have fun, not racing it. I don't listen to music on runs much at all, but with my bone conducting headphones I plan on queueing this up, then ETID's Radical(thats 1h:30mins). Add in a couple more songs on the tail end of that and I'll have myself a party.

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

This in my mind is a perfect continuation after Disambiguation. Fantastic stuff.

It’s like a heavier more atmospheric/experimental LITSOS in my opinion.

Like I said in my previous post, mostly LITSOS and Disambiguation. Probably veers a little closer to the latter. Hallelujah and Numb are probably the most Erase Me esque tracks and even then, they do that sound much better. And this is coming from someone who actually liked that album

Just listened to it all the way through, yeah big fan of it. I wasn't really feeling the first 3 or so tracks so was getting worried but then the rest was just excellent. Going to spin this a few times. @PureBlueSF deff can hear the Disambiguation and LITSOS sounds in it.

Just finished my first listen and I think it’s fantastic. Cycle, Thorn, and We’re All… are the early favorites. Was hoping for another super sludgy track or 2 like damn excuses but can’t complain. Sucks knowing that my no.1 for the year is already known though lolz

Ha, same. Team no lyrics. Way more invested in the melody than the words.

i kind of wonder if Digital Ghost was originally planned before they knew the release was going to be pushed so far. Aka originally we'd get the album in October then DG as a live performance of it.
and then they switched the marketing to "you get to hear the whole record early" after the push.

either way, i love that we have both versions. pros and cons to both
