I’m on day 5 of Omicron and still feels like I’m swallowing glass. When does this super fun feeling go away? Also I had a clementine the other day because in my stupid brain the juice and vitamin C sounded good and oh my god that was a terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible mistake. Felt like I was burning a hole through my neck.

 

Yeah anything acidic does not go well with a sore throat, at least from my experience. I'd just take (if you haven't yet) severe cold+flu medicine daily, sleep as much as possible, and throat drops to relieve (if possible) the immediate soreness/pain of the sore throat

 

If Biden runs again, don't expect any notable primary. He'll be on the ticket.

If he doesn't run, I would expect Kamala on the ticket. In this scenario, I honestly believe that Trump or the GOP wins and democrats swing back in 2028.

Anyway this decade is going to be an absolute pitiful shitshow.

 

Kamala aint gonna win a primary IMO. Would depend on her competition I suppose but, man, she's bad at politicking like Hillary was and people really don't like her.

Only acidic exception I make when sick (just had Covid myself...) is lemon juice in some hot water with honey. Basically a hot toddy without the alcohol (add cinamon if you're into that).

Nah it actually makes complete sense why he'd say this. He desperately craves praise and attention so he wants nothing more than to be hailed as the country's savior for "getting us the vaccines quickly". He just still for some reason doesn't get that his base is anti-vaccine, or at least doesn't understand why his supporters don't love him for getting them the vaccine.

When even Trump is unable to grasp why people would hold a certain belief, you know that belief is monumentally idiotic.

 

Is this surprising?

It's a simplification, but when inflation is higher, people hold less cash and invest more as a hedge against inflation. If the real value of a company stays constant and there is inflation, you would expect the stock price to rise at the amount of inflation too, all else equal. The relationship between inflation and equity prices isn't that simple and I'm overthinking this, but I don't get what the tweet is going for.

The inflation is basically signaling there's a lot more activity going on in our economy, which from a stock perspective is good news, which leads to higher stock prices. For the average consumer though higher inflation is not good
