I think maybe the more interesting way to look at the original premise is just that the MCU is so ubiquitous that basically every actor has been in it or will be in it, and that takes up their time as a resource. Plus as Disney continues to cancel or shuffle off films being produced by the studios they acquire and continues to push small films out of theaters, it makes small, independent features even more of a low-profit proposition for other studios than they already are, so what are we losing as the MCU continues to grow?

 

Hemsworth did Blackhat, Renner had The Immigrant, Arrival, and Wind River. That's all that comes to mind.

Those Who Wish Me Dead is worth seeing? Heard bad things so I never did.

 

Those Who Wish Me Dad has watching on FX on a Sunday afternoon energy but I liked it. People run across an empty field dodging lightning bolts.
