I know this is gonna sound crazy but I kinda love working during Christmas. Getting into the festive mood today:

 

My sister and mom tested positive today. Getting tested now and I ran into my dad at the testing center. So at least it’s bringing us altogether for Christmas.

 

Omicron reinfection is very real. My dad had COVID a month ago with allergy symptoms, and now he has it again and feels like hell

 

Was he vaxxed too?

wow that’s crazy. Vax plus infection was supposed to be pretty damn good against omicron. Is it possible he’s feeling shitty from the booster and is just shedding dead virus since his infection was so recent?

Made it to winter break (teacher) w/out getting Covid and without any known cases in my classroom. I’m sure anything is possible cause I’ve had kids out sick before but oh well.

Good question! Honestly not sure, he tested positive on a home kit and is still waiting on the PCR. He has a sore throat, stuffy, achy, tired, etc.

I thought I read that Omicron supposedly evades immunity from past infection? Could be remembering wrong

 

yeah it def does alone but they’ve been saying a past infection plus a full vax has shown your body the spike 3 different times so it should be pretty good protection. I guess breakthroughs will still happen regardless
