It’s so hard for me to get excited about any of their new material. They’ve become way too experimental and side project sounding.

Now, I’ve been listening to their BBC album that just came out with 90s recordings and it’s beautiful.

At one time I'd be excited for this news but they are so hit/miss nowadays its hard to get excited when it's probably just going to be disappointing

They should just release Cigarettes and Valentines at this point, no way it was actually "lost".

It’s definitely not a full album ready for release. They have surely released or repurposed everything on it in some form or fashion since then.

Yeah. That BBC release is FANTASTIC. My favorite era of Green Day too.

    Just here for the comments

I actually wasn't mad at FOA and liked RR a lot.

FOA grew on me. It took several listens and I like it a lot now. And Revolution Radio is great!

Rev Radio is maybe their best record since AI. A more streamlined 21CB with a better ballad, “epic track” AND singles. All the stuff from that record also sounded phenomenal live.

I will be the Xth cosign on the BBC sessions. The “Warning”-era songs sound particularly phenomenal.

  12. I finally got around to listening to the BBC sessions after this thread. You weren't kidding about the "Warning" songs. That sax on Church on Sunday caught me by surprise. I'm here for it.
