Our governor is holding a press conference tomorrow, local news is speculating it's going to be an indoor mask mandate. Was wondering what the hell finally sparked some action from Carney, then I checked the hospitalization numbers. It's been steadily going up, then took a huge spike to 420 yesterday. Highest it's been since mid-January.

 

For me, the glasses + mask combo really sucks. I had stopped even buying contact lenses before the pandemic, but I started getting them again because having glasses on my face with a mask and with all the other PPE kinda blows, especially for 8+ hours.

 

I just nudge my glasses a little further down my nose, seems to do the trick.

 

I think I’ve gotten used to it after almost two years with glasses and a mask 8-10 hours a day. I may consider investing in contacts for the first time in my life though.

 

7. Why would you ever draw a line up when you could take the easy route and draw a line down?

Because we all learned to write from left to right so options like 5 allow us to draw two lines that go from left to right lol

(Also for some reason it feels like a shorter distance to travel from t he end of line 1 to the start of line 2 but I know that makes no sense if your x’s are drawn correctly lol)

Imagine the type of person who does 1 or 2. What are they like? What traumatic life event caused them to be that way?

I was just thinking yesterday of how I've probably only held a pen/pencil like two or three times since the pandemic started, so this took me a second.

But 7.

 

I'm an old and still take notes by hand.

Honestly the main thing I miss about going to an office is being able to quickly print off extra-long contracts I have to review so I can do it on paper/not on a screen and jot down notes.

 

7 is less efficient than 8. Your writing hand ends up further away from the next letter you have to write and has to travel more distance, whereas for 8 you end up on the right side of the X and don't have to travel your writing hand at all. Dummies

I’m a number 5 and I’ve been told many times that the way I write letters and numbers is odd. With the number 3, I always start from the bottom but have been told repeatedly I should be starting from the top. I dunno. I still accomplished the task of writing the 3, didn’t I?

 

My weirdest thing re: how I write is that to make an 8 I draw a 3 and then fill in the other side.

At one point in my childhood I must have decided this produced better-looking 8's than the standard way and now it's too late to try and change it.

Living in Oregon, it's so weird to me that most states have just been masks off for months now. I think we had like, three weeks with no masks before Delta hit.

 

It’s weird because if you go to different parts of the state people and businesses don’t care about masks. When I stopped in Hood River about half of the people in the Walmart had no masks and employees could care less. Same with Southern Oregon near Crater Lake.
