I saw Suicidal Tendencies last night and it ruled. Rob Trujillo's son played bass.

 

It’s crazy how both Rob and Thundercat both cut their teeth playing bass in that band.

I now have every All That Remains album I ever cared about on wax.

 

This was their only good album, This Darkened Heart was acceptable, I never listened to Behind Silence and Solitude, and everything after The Fall of Ideals ranges from complete dogshit to background music that I don't remember anything about.

 

They have a few decent songs post FOI but the hit to miss ratio is extremely low.

 

The first three or four All That Remains albums were okay until I realized that Phil is a fucking idiot.

 

Phil is probably one of the least educated people I’ve ever seen talk about politics.

 

That said, FOI is a solid metalcore album for the time. 2006 had so many good releases that year.

 

It's a formative album for me so when they announced they were doing a repress for the 15th anniversary I was all over it. The only other ATR album I've ever cared about was This Darkened Heart which I've had on vinyl for years now so I just needed this one to round it out. Other than some select tracks, I haven't given a shit about ATR since I graduated college over 10 years ago so especially with Phil's politics clouding the band for me.

 

I love when a band plays a venue in my area that I've never heard of. Definitely not gonna make the trek to RVA to see Wharfluch given life circumstances, but it's cool to see they're coming through the area.
