Prior to him being banned, he was known to go into threads and literally start shit by posting things like that hence why I posted that. But anyway, right on the money. It's a well made movie, far better than many horror remake by a mile.

Had no idea about the ban, but some people are here including some mods can be a little ridiculous sometimes. It's all good, I've just been treated like a troll on here before just for wanting a legit conversation lol.

I hate Eli Roth but I enjoyed Cabin and the Evil Dead remake. Never got an Eli vibe from them tho

I don't think I've seen an Eli Roth movie. I hear Cabin Fever and Hostel are pretty good, according to some people

I think it's lazy to call out a movie by comparing it to Eli Roth's work.

I don't really care for his movies he's directed but loved him as an actor in Inglorious Bestards. I don't know how his films are related to those other films though.

The original Cabin Fever is still a favorite of mine. Movies generally don't make me feel uncomfortable, but Eli succeeded with that one. Also, the ED remake and CITW were solid AF.

Cabin in the Woods is one of the smartest horror movies of the last ten years

My boss just asked me if Don't Breathe was good and I told her yes so she's seeing it tonight. Hopefully the twist doesn't make her mad at me, haha

My friends and I are going to be starting our annual weekly (our schedules suck) horror watching tradition coming up here soon. The hardest part is always trying to figure out what to watch since we can only all be off at the same time once a week. So far were thinking

Classics: The Thing, House on Haunted Hill (1959)

Annual Traditions: Trick 'r Treat, Cabin in the Woods

Then throw in a couple that none of us have seen, which is going to be easier said than done. Anyone else do something similar or have a plan of what they want to watch this year?

I'm gonna try to do a movie a day in October. I'm definitely going to watch Halloween, Trick r Treat, Season of The Witch, House on Haunted Hill, The Witch, Dracula, Bride of Frankenstein, and An American Werewolf In London. I'll probably try to watch a few off the Halloween sequels but 1 & 3 are the only ones I have. I'm trying to stick to Halloween themes rather than just any horror movies

  18. The Thing, Trick r Treat, Paranorman, and Cabin in the Woods are my regulars. Don't know what else I'll try to watch.

I really like to watch Halloween television specials. It's crazy to see whole shelves in stores already devoted to ghoooulish treats, but it puts me in such a good mood

i have a few staples that i watch every october, but i try to add plenty of new ones in as well. i actually started my october like a month and a half early this year, haha.

but some of the staples off the top of my head include:

    trick r treat
    house of the devil
    halloween
    sleepaway camp
    hocus pocus
    prince of darkness
    scream
    boy meets world scream episode

i think over the garden wall is gonna join that list too

i might try to make it through lots of sabrina the teenage witch this october too lol. at least the halloween specials.

King of the Hill has my favorite Halloween episode. Then the Buffy when they all turn into their costumes. You're the Worst had an incredible one last year that I'm excited to add to the rotation.

Count me in as someone has started their Halloween routine early this year. The last few years it's been one Halloween related movies/tv shows a night starting in October. This year I started it on September 1st. So far I've watched the Conjuring, Scream, Scooby Doo 2, a few twilight zone episodes, Buffy episodes,Hush, Silence of the Lambs, and now the Purge for the first time.

I have a huge list of movies from the last two years I need to watch. I'll watch those this month, and the classics in October.
