Gonna get shit for this but I’m pretty let down with the studio version of spud infinity. Live version slaps a million times harder.

Definitely broke and have listened to both new songs tons of times. They all continue to be wonderful as fuck and showing this band can always stretch out even more than we all already expected.


RE: "Certainty," it's 'sleeping on a plain,' right? Genius says 'sleeping on a plane' but tbh I'm much quicker to associate BT with a field than an aircraft haha

 

The youtube video has the official lyrics in the description and they say both “plane” and “plain” in different choruses

Also Steven Hyden thinks the new BT record is so good that he’s back on board with the 2019 records lol. Love when a record is so good it recontextualizes past work for someone who was down on it.

 

Japanese CD version is two discs and includes two bonus tracks.

I think I mentioned this but when I saw Adrianne she made an off hand comment about how many versions of the title track there were. I was just assuming she meant the solo version she just played, and full band live version and the studio version. Wasn’t expecting a totally different recording. Very cool.

Dragon must have been recorded in Colorado then, same studio as Change, Flower of Blood, No Reason, The Only Place. Would be kind of cool if they had a version from all 4 studios.
