After years of being on the fence, I finally purchased Darkest Dungeon. I absolutely love the art style and overall vibe, but my goodness, the learning curve is just as steep as I expected. Definitely enjoying so far though.

 

That game is so damn hard. Great game but it definitely doesn’t hold your hand.

I read through a guide and some Reddit threads and it’s already starting to make more sense, but yeah, it’s pretty brutal. One thing that has already made a massive difference was just switching to handheld on the Switch. Without the touchscreen, the controls are wayyyy too confusing.

Yeah, Sony finally got a patent on the cover. Why they chose white will forever confuse me.

 

the white isn't the problem, the shape of the console is dogshit

 

I have my PS5 and PC on a little riser on the floor under my desk, so thankfully I don’t really feel the need to pick up new covers. Sold my og DualSense and picked up a black one recently, so i’m all set there as well.

 

looks rough as hell. this is going to get delayed.

 

I already have my black plates from dbrand, but that teal and purple do look nice.

Also, finished Mass Effect 2 for the first time yesterday and it's very clear why people love it so much, probably the best example of storytelling with real player choice even a decade later.

 

the dbrand ones actually help your console run like 5 degrees cooler, so if those were available at a reasonable price, I'd prefer those. Also significantly reduce bulk.
