this is the same family that brutally attacked Kendall for months and then staged an intervention after a suicide. it’s the drama they thrive on.

Definitely got that Tom was gonna said with Logan as soon as he told Greg the line about “siding with the devil” lmao

Pretty much. Told him they were coming and, presumably, what their plan was, so Logan call their mother to renegotiate the divorce settlement to take away their power in the company. I don't quite undersatnd the business aspects of it but something about the divorce settlement gave the kids shareholder power, and apparently he was able to change that with their mother.

I thought this might be the case (changing the divorce agreement) on the van ride there since they commented on their mom having that as part of the deal so I assumed that was why Logan went to the wedding in the first place. Idk if Logan could have convinced her of that in the time it took them to get there since they were already on the way when Shiv called Tom but who knows that looked like a long drive so maybe lol

Right, the fact that he showed up there alone was the power move IMO. He knew the minute he showed up just minutes after they did that Shiv was gonna know. The whole lovely dovey act was a power move.

Glad I finally got around to reading the new yorker piece today because it made Kendall's breakdown scene that much better

First 20-30 minutes or so I was little “where is this going who is this focusing on?” But the back half was superb. Everyone is always on point acting wise and facial expression wise but goddamn they really brought it here

Definitely thought Connor was gonna be involved in fucking things up but I guess either that never comes to be or maybe in season 4 since he made such a big deal about being the eldest child and not liking the deal that was being discussed?

I thought I'd be annoyed if Kendall survived, but the scene of them literally cheating at monopoly was so egregious it distracted me pretty quickly.

I'm glad Kendall is alive, though. Even though I thought the show wasn't the kind that would use that significant a bait and switch, overall I think it works. It was pretty obvious that Tom was going to turn on Shiv, but in the way where it completely felt like that was where his arc was heading. After being dismissed and used and manipulated by Shiv, MacFayden's performance said it all without a word. Can't say enough how great he has been as Tom.

And the cinematography of this show is marvelous. They love to track one character's movement through a crowded scene, then naturally pick up another character as the subject and follow their movement in these unbroken shots where I'm just so enthralled with the blocking it takes to pull that off so consistently (and again, highlights how great these actors are).

    I really liked this season.

That was one of my thoughts as well. Like they were gonna get there and Connor would use whatever he's got to put it over the top or some shit like that. Payback for not dealing him in. But also he hates the dude they're dealign with so probably not

Just so I'm clear on Tom's position with the company, he's basically in the Roger Ailes role of Waystar/RoyCo right?

Also loved Shiv's bullshit at the intervention, talking about how he's addicted to the business and it could destroy him, only to immediately run to him when she found out about the deal and pressure him for his connections lol. She's such a fucking rat.

Yeah she started the show as the supposed "above it all" character who wanted to be involved in politics and not the business but as soon as she got involved she became just as bad as all of them.
