I think Halo is perfect on the controller out of the box, so is everything Respawn ever touched.

Currently the biggest problem child is Arkane imo haha

 

If you have an elite controller, there is even more!

 

Halo preload is coming online for some.

 

It at least takes a lot of hours until you might need to tweak stuff

 

Can anyone explain why people are mad about halo and are don’t want to play anymore? I feel like I missed a whole story or something

 

- no separate playlists for objective and slayer
- no swat
- progression is slow and forces you into weird play styles
- no firefight
- no forge
- few maps
- people feel the cosmetics are too expensive
- custom games seem broken
- no career history

I think that basically covers all the bases

some of these are obviously expected when it comes to a seasonal model, especially with the game being free. others are just ... why?

 

There are a few legitimate complaints but most are just "it's not my Halo anymore" or bandwagoning.

 

I miss UT2004's campaign. No story whatsoever but it was fun managing your own selected team and challenging other teams of bots. UT3 added cutscenes between missions and it just felt weird, not to mention you had to play as the male main character. I never tried the new one, apparently it was abandoned for Fortnite

I never played Halo, but if the new one's multi-player is free to play it just sounds like another Fortnite.

Maybe I should just look into other multi-player/pve campaigns like Borderlands that aren't Gearbox, if I ever get that fps itch again. Titanfall, I think? Or Destiny?

Pvp always feels unbalanced and toxic to me, idk how I managed to stick with OW for so long. They got me with their charming heroes and pretty skins.

A lot of the things people are mad about (Halo) sound really silly. And most of those people have probably given a large sum to epic for Fortnite skins and juicy v-bucks.

I understand the lack of playlists and such is shitty. The cut content from the battle pass is a bad look.
Not being able to separate yourself from PC players in quick play is annoying.

But what were you expecting with a F2P game?
Of course you’re gonna be able to pay for armor and shaders.

“I have to pay for the color red!”
No you don’t!! Simply don’t buy it.

 

I don’t think that’s why people stopped playing, but every game under the sun had people mad about the price of cosmetics until the base has gotten used to it.

i would gladly throw money at Halo if I saw anything worth buying. Everything I like is in the battle pass which is refreshing, esp. since Valorant’s BP has been dogshit compared to the stuff in the store.

also, no new content until season 2 is a questionable decision if they intend to retain the player base. I pretty much no-lifed Infinite for 2 weeks and I’m essentially tapped out wrt the current content, as sublime as the game is.

 

I just wanna know who actually wants a career history like that seems like such a small niche of people who want to see the previous game stats unless it’s talking like generic stats like kills and stuff

I have no problem with lack of stats.

 

I do think they should add “Spartan Rank” back as an individual XP system outside of the battle pass tho

I can't wait for my steam deck so I can play some of these Steam only rogues. I want Rogue Legacy 2 right ASAP

 

Arcane got me installing League again, and whoa a lot's changed in seven years. There's an event to unlock the show's champs and skins in game for free! Still no desire to do pvp again tho

 

try Ruined King instead then ;) it's a great little turn based RPG set in Blightwater.

 

Got myself an HDMI 2.1 splitter to add an additional port for my LG C1.
