Every single thing I've heard about Genie makes me want to go back to Disney World/Land less and less. It seems like a nightmare.

i think it just needs to get through its clunky roll out. FP+ was a mess at first as well and they made changes/adapted as more and more users were handling it every day.

I'm pissed, it took me five days of trying to get that Disneyland reservation, and then when we got up to the gate they didn't even want to see/scan it. It was so crowded we couldn't see the parade from anywhere (on a Monday), so what's the point of even having that extra step to lessen attendance?

Universal is a better and better choice as time goes on.

As a local, I am never going to wait an hour or more for a ride, and without FastPass, that means some Disney World rides will always be a no. I am not going to pay more when you can go to Universal and walk on many rides during the last two hours or so of the day.

I bought Genie+ for my family when we went to Magic Kingdom about a month ago and it was one of the most successful days we’ve had there in years.

But, like with FastPass+ from a few years back, it is something that you have to fully comprehend and you have to basically game the system (like stacking with the 120 minute rule) to take advantage of its value.

As well as it worked, it’s not something I see myself getting unless I’m going with people who are going for the first time and trying to maximize their time at the parks. Just don’t appreciate having to pay Disney even more to have the same “premium” experience that I used to get with the price of admission.

Just going through this thread for the first time and this caught my eye.

This must be the rumored mine cart coaster with the new coaster tech (that some people found a Universal patent for online a few years ago) that gives you the illusion that you're jumping the tracks

People think I'm joking when I say stuff like Country Bear Jamboree is my favorite part of the parks but I'll take it over any mountain.

So I have two weeks off work in late Feb/early Mar and want to try Universal Orlando for the first time, but... man Is their ride list making me wish there were more stuff to do. We went to WDW this year during that time and it was DEAD, I imagine it'll be the same in a couple months. With a 9/4 year old do ya'll think 3 days is worth it? Maybe 2 at the parks, 1 at the water park? And then throw in Sea World since it's free for us once a year to make a nice winter trip down there.

With express pass you could do Universal and Islands of Adventure in one day.

Just google what’s gonna be down when you’re planning on going because I know Mummy is going into a long refurbishment and I think there’s some other big ones as well.

All the water rides will be down at different points from January to mid-March.

WDW is celebrating its 50th anniversary until the end of 2022. So it might not be dead at that time like it was for you guys this year

the line for a new Figment popcorn bucket at Epcot reached 7 hours today lol. And it's being resold on eBay for $200+. I don't understand this entire subculture.

Someone just told me she has been in line for 4 hours. And no one even likes Figment.
