Gonna be so awkward if they put a teaser for this in front of No Way Home. “Hey, before you watch this lesser Spider-Verse movie, take a moment to remember how the animated one a few years ago was the best superhero movie ever, and think about how the sequel is less than a year away!”

Also, neat that this straight up continues from where Spider-Verse left off… and is called “Part One”!? Not a chance that it’s a successful storytelling-wise as the last one, but fuck yeah, let me just soak in this world forever.

 

Also, love that I can see the subtle Kris Anka influence in there. Super happy to see that great artist working on this great series.

 

Cancel no way home and put all effort in releasing this by next weekend I think they can do it

Like I said earlier, Marvel is dining Spider-Man fans real good. I know this is just a teaser, but it’s great stuff and I’m sure this is going to deliver.

It’s insane that we’re getting NWH (a celebration of the last 20 years of Spidey films) and this (a sequel to the best animated film of 2018) within a year of each other.

 

That's a pretty low bar to be fair
