The Emu Wars would make an awesome game, but human Australia isn't ready to relive the terror

I tried watching Workaholics for the first time in years. This show is already very dated.

I feel like this show was only funny if you were watching it as a post-grad millennial in your early 20's in 2012. It's a humor that is very specific to a certain point in time. Outside of that context it's just not very good.

I wonder if all shows like this that are heavily narrowcasted to the culture of specific demographic at a specific point in time are going to feel this dated a decade later.

Man I watched the shit out of that show when I started college in '13. Haven't watched it basically since then and it kinda felt like it had run its course a season or two before it actually ended.

Christmas is a bad holiday, but holidays in general are bad.

    I heard they're developing a Workaholics movie for Paramount+.

    1) Not a good idea. Too much time has past, and i don't think this show has the following to justify that.
    2) The premise/humor/tone just doesn't seem like it'll translate well when all the characters are now going to be in their early to mid 30's.

Labor Day is the one cool holiday. It doesn't have any gimmicks and you just get the day off and chill. Also a few times a decade it falls on my birthday.

Christmas, and the larger winter holiday season it's part of, is great. People who actively hate on it are soulless dorks.

Twice the traffic, having to spend money on people, having to pretend to enjoy bad gifts, people drinking too much. What is to like?

The traffic (at least where I live) can get annoying but not enough to negatively impact my life; I don’t make a ton of money and still generally enjoy buying my family gifts; my family makes lists so I rarely get things I don’t like, and when I do, it’s typically a small thing from my dad or whoever where “it’s the thought that counts” genuinely applies; drinking’s not a big thing in my personal context; I love the vibes and the aesthetic and the aspirational themes.

I love Christmas. I put my tree up the week after Thanksgiving, have my smart bulbs set to red and green, and have been watching a Christmas movie or more nearly every night.

I do hate traveling, though. I miss having my parents to direct me to whose house I'm going to and when we leave. I'm awful at saying goodbyes and ducking out early.

“Workaholics” and “Broad City” had the same trajectory of being fantastic for like two seasons and completely running out of steam.

The only good thing about Christmas are days off of work, but then you can't even go do anything because it is all closed.
