VR is always going to be geared towards first person shooters and they have to be smart about mechanics to avoid motion sickness. Case in point, HLA was awesome and didn't make me sick once, and the gravity guns mechanic was top notch, but I got lone echo and can't handle the zero gravity, floating around shit so 1) only 1st person games will work for VR (I can't imagine playing a 3rd person game in VR) and those aren't everyone's cup of tea 2) you have to incorporate the mechanics in a way that fits with the story so it's not gimmicky and 3) you have to do it in a way that won't give casuals motion sickness.

We're a long way off from studios wanting to put that kind of effort and money into getting all that right. A game that was as badass as HLA but from an unknown story/developer, would have failed. It only sort of worked on the back of the half life name but I would guess only a small % of PC players have played it. Honestly, and maybe I'm being naïve, I don't think the price of entry is really all that big of a deal for players. I have a moderately good gaming laptop that was around $1800 and then I got the quest 2 and it works fine. I just think VR doesn't appeal to everyone.

I'm not just saying it to say it. They're a horrible company.

Fast Food Workers Walk Out to Demand Chipotle Stop Making Them Work Sick Amid Concerns of Growing COVID-19 Outbreak - 32BJ SEIU

Rat bites, overwork, Covid-19: Chipotle's exploitation of workers through years leaves a bitter aftertaste

There's absolutely dozens of these articles and even more stories from workers.

They're just a shitty company with average food.

I don't think they're always going to be geared toward first person shooters. I actually think that's a really strange perception to have, but I'm very interested in seeing what led you to think that. Has all the marketing/gameplay you've seen been geared toward that genre? I find that very interesting.

I'd like to point out when I say something like "Fuck Chipotle" or something, I don't just say it haphazardly. It's similar to when I say "Fuck Blizzard" or "Fuck CDPR". They're all companies that are shitty for different reasons, whether it be sexual harassment, misogyny, exploitation of workers, screwing over customers, etc. I think companies like that should be called out.

Some are definitely worse than others, but at the end of the day they're all shitty.

To be fair, it’s a case of the boy who cried wolf. It’s kind of hard to tell when you are serious and when you aren’t. I get it, those fast food companies suck.

It's not all fast food companies, right? Like Chipotle is awful when it comes to labor laws and Chick-fil-A support a lot of Anti-LGBT organizations. I admittedly haven't done a lot of research on other restaurants.

Look at the paying wages for all these massive billion dollar companies, they are dogshit. Americas workplace culture is fucking awful in 50 different ways. Fuck everyone at the top, they need to be greedy corner/cost cutting pieces of shit to make it there. Then they all just get away with the terrible bar that has been set for paying their baseline workforce.

and from what I know, the terrible pay is a thing pretty exclusive to America compared to other countries.

I truly hate America more everyday.

I finally got a promotion and solid raise yesterday, which is wonderful, but I had to not only be a standout who kicks ass at their job, but advocate and make it clear I was unhappy about how I was being treated and paid to the right person. I also had to be patient.

    Pathetic.

  19. While corporations are inherently bad, capitalism makes it hard to avoid them, buuut it's pretty easy to avoid a restaurant chain.

I mean the mass industrialization of the meat industry which every food company (that serves meat) contributes to has done more harm to the environment than...almost anything else. I’m a meat eater so I’m not like go vegan or whatever but it’s an uncomfortable fact and the restaurants and fast food joints obviously contribute to that market an ungodly amount

Replaying Halo 5 and I'm reminded why I wasn't a fan when it came out. Grenade damage is minimal and the prometheans are not fun to fight, I kind of hate them, they are worse than the flood. I really hope Halo Infinite does not have prometheans.

Got those Belfry Gargoyles in DS2 on first try. Dark Souls 2 may be my favorite I cant believe I let geeks on the internet keep me from playing it.

never played 5 but "worse than the flood" is an automatic nope from me, i just replayed combat evolved and could barely make it through levels 7 and 8, or is it 6 and 7? when the flood is introduced and the one right after

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

The first actual level with the flood is amazing, such a wonderful twist at the time. But the flood are so utterly annoying lol
