New record for the fastest turnaround for me discovering a band, loving an album and then learning they were shitheads wow this scene sucks

 

I’m seeing this band live right now and I can’t dr idea if I like them or not haha

I’m leaning towards I do like them. I’ll have to listen to this record later.

Listened to this band for the first time today because they're booked on the Wonder Years tour. I love the other bands on there so I figured these guys must be great too. Listened to the nee record on my drive to work. Certainly wasn't blown away but it kinda made me grin just how much it sounded like a mid 00s Taste of Chaos playlist. So I ventured to this thread to see if the whole appeal was just basically 'they sound a lot like MCR and a bit of The Used'. Instead I find out the singer is an abuser. Hope the victim is okay, and that this band is booted from the tour. Wonder if TWY, SLS or Origami Angel are aware yet...

 

Far as I know the only place with this information spread is this 3 page thread. The allegations are not public. Which makes it frustrating to see TWY taking them on tour but it is up to the survivor ultimately.

 

True, in this instance I can truly believe the other bands involved have no idea. And it is the victim's absolute right to keep the information private, so it is what it is. The only shitty person/s here know who they are.

 

I will also say that, while I definitely appreciate being informed, I just hope that the survivor is ok with details of their story being shared on here, even anonymously. I’m not a big fan of survivors’ stories being told without their permission.
