Okay GotG gave me one of my fave moments of gaming this year. Wow.

    Player's Log: Abzu.

It is every bit as relaxing an experience as I had previously hoped Adr1ft would be. Like Adr1ft, Abzu is leaving me in awe of the world that it allows me to explore, except this time I actually get to enjoy it instead of frantically pursue oxygen tanks.

I did make a checklist of things to collect and do to unlock achievements, but that track went off the rails fairly early. It's better this way. I'll focus on just enjoying the experience and getting the simpler achievements now and then I'll use Chapter Select afterward to get the collectibles I miss.

As it stands, I do have 3 out of the 12 achievements already. I just started Chapter 4, and it's my understanding that there are 8 chapters, so things are progressing rapidly.

It is making me long for a new Ecco The Dolphin.

I suppose the good thing about being broke and unemployed right now is I get to not worry about buying new cool games like Guardians and focus on the library I already have.

Is Bioshock a horror game? I've never played one or even seen gameplay that I recall but the art has always intrigued me

Bioshock is definitely not a horror game. Dark and creepy? Yes, but it will makes sense if you play it. More along the lines of Dystopian.

Yeah the game drips with dark atmosphere and builds tension really well. I think there's one or two jump scares that'll catch you off guard but it's fine apart from that.

The only terrifying thing about Bioshock is that you haven't played it.

It’s a suspense thriller type game more than horror

I never finished BioShock. One day I will.

That said, I will always remember my first experience with the game, where it unnerved me so much that I had a freak out with a baddie in the bathroom and kept beating it long after it was already dead. I've never had a game do that to me before.

I played infinite first and played the first years later. Still never played 2

Bioshock 2 main campaign is skippable. The standalone Minerva's Den DLC, however, is not. One of the greatest DLC campaigns of all time.

The end is also why it’s largely a one shot experience too.

Completely disagree. I have played it multiple times and still love the story and lore.

Oh, I already know what happens. Not gonna stop me from going back to it one day. I just have way too many games to pile through.

I've played it 3 or 4 times and enjoyed it each time. Still a great game, and I'm super curious to see the new one

  22. Oh man. I’ve replayed Bioshock a ton.

    one of my favorite games.

still have my 360 copy with the original sleeve for the case.

  23. There was something about Rapture and the lore that other games just didn’t do for me.

I dunno, I always felt that once you know the twist, the story is just not as enjoyable as the first time. I’m weird like that though.

  25. Just gonna post this here again...
