who the fuck cares if he’s bad in 7 years, he’ll probably be great for 3, good for 2 more, and average/below at the end but the value of the contract will have been more than provided for in the first 5

Honestly there's probably gonna be so much surplus value on the front end of that Semien deal. Who cares if he blows in 2028 or whatever

I'd have rather done seven on Semien than a ten year for the two big guys tbh

I'd rather have Correa for ten. But even though he's older I really think Semien's short term upside is better than either Story or Seager. And Seager is gonna be at a corner position within 4-5 years I bet, he's not staying at short
