That is the dumbest fucking penalty ever. That is just, wow. That I cannot fathom. I get the safety of it but what the fuck that shouldn’t be a goddamn penalty. Basically asking someone to make it 11 vs 10

i get that but you’re not going to get players to stop playing. If the NCAA cares that much, just have the refs blow the play dead as soon as the helmet is off and play ends there instead of penalizing a kid for doing what he’s screamed at to do for years lol like by the time of college it’s engrained in them how to play and not to stop and course correcting that for when a helmet comes off maybe once every 300+ snaps (if ever) for a player is an unreasonable expectation
