Michigan already blew Wisconsin out this year. But yeah, it would probably still be closer than if Wisconsin played Ohio State. There's still a chance that Iowa makes it, and I think they could play it close with either team.

 

i realized this as I was typing my response / looked up the rankings and then deleted it because I don’t want that to come to fruition lol

 

Wisconsin may well lose to Michigan again if that’s the matchup, but I’d almost guarantee a much tighter game

 

Brock Bowers is so good

 

Honestly the most impressive thing about Georgia might be that they keep the defense going full game and give nothing up even when up huge. Hard to do that as a pro let alone a 18-22 year old kid. At times it’s gotta be boring and you would think lose focus for a play or two deep in the fourth up 30+ and give up a big play or a lot of yards but it just doesn’t happen.

I sometimes wonder “is more alcohol consumed by fans after a big loss or by the fans of the team who wins?” and I think at least for THIS game it’s clear that most of Michigan is gonna be severely drunk tonight more than they would be if they had lost

Nothing beats a late-season snow game. That was awesome.

 

Not to turn the thread into a playoff debate, but like, THIS moment is why 4 teams works for so many people. Michigan just ended Ohio State’s playoff hopes / NC hopes. If the playoff was 8 teams or maybe even 6 teams, OSU still lives on and this game means just a smiiiiiidge less. Now, I’m not saying that’s right or wrong, just my feelings on it, but this is why college football is so critical - you get 12 games, maybe 13 if you’re lucky, to get the votes you need. All it takes is one loss (usually) to remove you from the running with the current system. Adding more to that may not water down the playoff bracket at the end of the day, but it does take away a bit from getting there with expansion.

 

Wisconsin better not screw this up.

I think the problem with only 4 teams is that it almost always excludes smaller schools that don't have the same strength of schedule.
