True, I’m speaking to the fact that it is able to compete in the same space when BR is king, especially after a rocky road with 343.

 

I’m not sure BR is oversaturated anymore, I feel like there are only a few relevant games left and all of those have their own niche. It was bad for a while though.

 

I feel the exact opposite about BR lol. The loop of collecting random loot for 10+ minutes and then finally finding someone else on this giant empty map and losing in a 10 second shootout to them just does nothing for me. Glad to finally have something like Halo in the mix again so that I have a shooter option that is NOT just a BR.

 

Well, what you’re describing is one of the BR play-styles and kind of your choice. You can also just land on top of people and later actively hunt. But yeah overal it’s definitely great that there is now “regular” free shooter of Halo’s caliber. I wish Battlefield would do the same.

 

I’m actually excited for a resurgence of arena shooters considering the popularity of Doom and with Quake coming back.

 

I don’t think the new Doom multiplayer is popular, but yeah Quake coming back is cool

 

I liked Destiny’s PVP at the time too

 

I didn’t say the MP, the game in general is very popular.

 

Yeah but all my takes here are strictly multiplayer, campaigns are a whole other story, I don’t really like any shooter campaigns much except for Gears

I think Halo's multiplayer is fine, I just don't find the goals of the matches to be engaging enough for me.

 

I've just gone back to MCC. I'll go back to Infinite when the campaign drops and see if they've improved it

 

Doing a DEX build in Dark Souls 2, wasn't sure about it but I am poking everything to death with a rapier and I love it

Finally got back to this game and I'm nearing the end. I have eight achievements left.

Of them, five are story related including two that involve me making a choice. Still haven't figured out how I'm going to pull that one off. Then one is for completing the mansion map, one is for finding all the secret areas in the mansion, and the last is for getting all the other achievements. I think I can do this.

Already debating what my next game will be. I'd like to stick with the 505 theme cause I still have a bunch of their games I haven't worked through. I'd like to do something a little more relaxing, but my previous attempts to do so have met with failure, so we'll see. I've got Abzu, which is a walking simulator but with less walking and more scuba, and I've also got Virginia, which is also listed as a walking simulator, but with less walking and more Twin Peaks.

 

Had no idea Japanese Breakfast did this soundtrack. Game went to the top of my list!
