Holy shit is that a full four years since those shows were announced?

 

Spring 2023 would be the 3.5yr mark

 

They can roll straight from the reunion tour into the Three Cheers 20th anniversary tour without stopping lol

Also the day Three Cheers turns 20 is officially the day I am a Senior Citizen

Band is ridiculous at this point. No news, no posts outside of garbage merch drops.

 

What news can there really be? Tour dates are announced, and we’re waiting for them to start.

 

I mean, it seems more and more clear that they had 0 plans outside of the reunion tour and they still probably dont, which is ok. we all just assumed they’d be releasing music, which is not their fault.

 

I still believe they're releasing new music. I just think they're waiting for when they can do everything how they envisioned it.

 

Those postponed Aus dates are a personal attack. Have had tickets since the end of 2019 :(

 

Yeah, I mean I don't know what else fans could really want from them if their plan is just to tour. It's not their fault that COVID pushed stadium shows back even more.

 

This is a weird post. The band does not owe anyone news or posts (aside from whether shows are happening or not, which they have been as transparent about as possible). The entitlement some people have in terms of thinking they are owed things from this band is honestly ridiculous.

 

Maybe they are releasing music, maybe they are not, but getting your hopes up and/or expecting that to be a reality and then getting angry when it doesn’t happen is weird. I know this band means a lot to a lot of people on here and a lot of people would love new music but instead of complaining about one band not releasing new music you could just…I dunno, listen to any of the other tons of bands releasing new music all the time because it’s a better use of ones time than waiting for this one band to maybe someday possibly release new music

I do find it a little hard to believe that this band would reunite at all if they weren't planning to eventually be a fully active band again. They didn't really need to get back together at all, not sure why people don't expect them to go all the way once they do

Obviously I'm completely okay with them going their own pace and making announcements when they're ready though

 

Yeah I'm not sure whether they'll have new music or not but I'm guessing if they do, they're waiting until the tour is either happening or over to announce/release it. Them having done nothing else while the tour is postponed doesn't really mean anything except they're on hold.

What else is there to tell us about? They planned on playing shows in 2020 but had to postpone because of a literal global pandemic, planned again in 2021 but once again had to understandably postpone another year. They were very transparent about these postponements. Wanting anything else from them just screams to me like people feel they are owed more information or news from this band than what has been shared. There are artists/bands out there who are not as forthcoming with information (IF there even is other information to share, we are once again projecting like @Sean Murphy said assuming that they have new music prepared) and that’s okay. If there actually is more to tell, they will do it when they feel ready to do so. It just feels weird to be annoyed about this, frankly.
