i think steve cohen thought being the richest owner in baseball was gonna be way different than it is lol

i really just don't think Cohen is used to being told no, or not getting something he wants. That tweet, among most of his others, is truly embarrassing.

Well we know he's not coming to Mets, if he's indicating that he's nearing a deal

 

i'm honestly not in any sort of panic mode yet for the mets since i was prepared for Noah to depart and I am nowhere near as upset about losing Loup as some others are. i still firmly believe this team is gonna make good signings this winter, but the continued public display of embarrassment just keeps feeling bad.

 

They really need a good offseason and still have possibility of making a legitimately contending team by ST, but things certainly have not started out promising

 

i wouldn't exactly say it hasn't started out promising, but it has immediately put a bright spotlight on their needs, and may have put them on the clock faster than they maybe wanted to be while they sort out their internal drama/hiring issues.

 

like, the Mets were probably looking forward to the lockout so they had time to hire a manager without seeing people bitch on twitter about making signings they couldnt make anyway lol
