Judging by the name alone, Spud Infinity sounds like a song TWIABP would write

 

That song is funny and poignant in equal measure. Can’t wait to hear what they’ve done with it in the studio.

 

i dont really believe in reincarnation but john prine wrote spud infinity. don't ask me how.

 

I wanted to do a top 15 Big Thief songs before the new album drops, and we have 2.5 months to kill (!!!!!!). I’m only doing studio released tracks, because technically we’ve heard most of the album, but we also know how different the songs could sound on tape.

Surprised to not see any love for Betsy. That’s probably my number one but I think it’s more of a personal/nostalgic connection

 

Doesn't feel fair to compare songs I have recorded versions of to ones I don't but this is how I feel. I respect the desire to not include unreleased ones but it would feel pointless for me

"James: Yeah. Adrianne was moving further from me and then closer to me. And then it’s like, “OK, we need some amps to monitor stuff. You’re playing too loud, you’re playing too quiet.” You’re negotiating this thing where it can feel like you’re wasting time, if you’re looking at it as if you’re on the clock, but it’s like, no, once this is set up, it only takes three minutes to record a song."
