Ugh, pumped gas last night and someone put a sticker of Biden on the pump under the prices saying "I did this"

 

My school district is going to distance learning for 2 weeks.

 

Is this because of what’s going on in the general area/region or because of cases in the district specifically?

I’m surprised it took this long but this might be the first thing I’ve seen about temporary closures.

 

My in-law’s neighbors have a flag they fly that says “FUCK BIDEN AND YOUR VOTING RIGHTS TOO.”

They just made my kids break a full week instead of the few days around thanksgiving to curb an outbreak.

My kids just got their first shots, but not everyone has time to do it. We need a wartime “shut down class for the day, a clinic comes to the gym and gives everyone a shot” type effort.

 

Yep, same. Leave the city limits for 30 minutes and saw that and multiple blue lives matter and Punisher decals

At least they're honest about them being fascist. No "election stolen", no "Trump won", just plain and simple "we support voter suppression." It doesn't take much brain power to link the first two to the last one, but I do appreciate them saving their neighbors even that small amount of inference

Yep. I think this has become a “thing” in conservative circles because I’ve seen it everywhere too. I actually saw a guy putting them on once and then I promptly walked over after he left and removed them. Such fucking childish shit. Like, yeah, maybe throw this kind of energy into asking for healthcare.

 

I drove past a house near me a few days ago and saw a Trump flag still being flown by their driveway; seriously considering driving by late at night and removing it

 

feeling real hopeless about this country ever recovering from what trump did to our political landscape.

 

Yeah on my drive in to work there is this huge construction building on the side of the highway with two massive Trump flags waving in the wind. I have imagined what it’d be like to light those bad boys on fire.

 

I think I’m at least 75% convinced that we’re looking at widespread violence in 2024 assuming trump is still alive and the Republican Party tries to overturn the election. Think only Trump dying saves us from that at this point.

I've called the cops trying to get it taken down but they say it's not obscene or causing a distraction.

 

Minnesota is like the worst in the nation for covid cases right now. For my particular district, we've been in person since September. As case counts have been rising, some districts are going to distance for 2-4 weeks to slow the spread within schools. The unfortunate thing is that my district is doing it right as Thanksgiving is coming, and most families will be traveling or seeing family anyway, so it's only going to cause more spread. December will suck.
