I used to be right at the back as a child but now I think it's too high and far away from the screen. Middle is optimal at the cinema I go to.

 

The best seats at my local Cinemark are a third of the way back from the screen, the row behind the wheelchair row and walkway, where I can put my feet up on the bar. If they ever upgrade to reclining seats, the best will be anything in the general center-ish I guess.

 

If I go to the bathroom mid movie I will go to a front seat when I get back. I hate making people move for me.

 

I have some anxiety about people sitting behind me in theaters so I always sit at the top if possible. The shift to buying tickets online and selecting seats ahead of time was sooo good

 

Top row dead center is the perfect seat.

 

my only firm rule is aisle so I don't have to climb over people especially if I need to go to the bathroom, I usually do like 4th row but no real loyalty to any particular row

 

The Cinemark I go to has the recliner seats and it’s easy to walk by someone if you need to.

 

Could probably count the amount of times I’ve used the restroom at a theater mid-movie in my adult life on one hand, I’m always much more concerned with people squeezing in front of me than vice versa haha. Usually seek a middle seat for that reason

I have a small bladder and they sell beer lol

 

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten way more concerned with my hydration, and my bladder is small. So I usually go before we leave, then once before the movie and sometimes I’ll do one extra little one just to make sure and especially if it’s a long movie.

 

I always sit in the third row, dead center, whenever and wherever I can, just so I can lean (or recline) my chair back, look up at the movie, and pretend I'm the only one in the theater. Anything closer is too close for me though.

 

I used to like the back row but years of loud music and concerts have me a tiny bit hard of hearing now so I need the middle. Sometimes in the back I’ll miss dialogue.

I have a firm policy of no drinks at the movies after I had to use the restroom and missed and entire monster attack in Super 8
