Those wage increases rule. I’m guessing they didn’t address the concerns around the two-tier employment/wage scales, and that’s why 40% still voted against the deal and wanted to extend the strike.

EDIT: looks like actually they did beat back the implementation of a new tier! They didn’t get rid of the second tier implemented in 97, i guess the calculus is that the majority of those folks are retired/retiring. Still interested why such a significant number of members voted against what looks like a sick deal.

Yikes, my local hospital is at 130% capacity and urging people to go to urgent care if possible. We're at an 83% vaccination rate for 1 dose of the vaccine, but only 64% fully vaxxed.
