I really enjoyed this season, mainly because I find William Jackson Harper so likeable. But I agree, it was pretty predictable.

  6. Oh yeah, he was great. Honestly that’s where I felt the season really continued to excel in general — the casting/characters. Ego and Punkie from SNL both crushed it. Was really cool to see Leslie Bibb in there too, that was probably my favorite stretch of the show. And of course Chris Powell was incredible lol, every time he was on screen I was cackling

Ryan Reynolds has become the living embodiment of the joke "So.....that happened....."

he's one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood after a decade of being kind of a loser in dogshit. i don't like any of his movies but I'm glad his career turned around

I can see Ryan Reynolds getting on your nerves even though I personally enjoy him and his humor for the most part, but I'd really love to see Dwayne Johnson branch out a little bit. I know you can't really argue with his success, and I think he's become the biggest movie star on the planet, but I feel like he plays the same character in every movie. I wanna say he plays himself, but I don't know the guy, and it really seems like he just shows up and plays the same character and they just make up a throwaway name to call him and use for the credits. I'd love to see him do like a 2:1 ratio, where for every two generic roles he takes on an actual role where he plays a character.

Movie stars had much more interesting careers before our franchise/IP dominant era. The Rock is in a pretty rote Arnold Schwarzenegger lane but I feel like someone as popular and charismatic (if limited) as Ryan Reynolds would have been in like 6 classics if he were working any pre-1980s decade

I like both Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. It just sucks that now that they’re bankable stars, they’ve stuck to the safest movies possible, where they at least used to take risks, even if those risks were “Southland Tales” and “Chaos Theory.”

Reynolds is great in stuff like “Adventureland” and “Mississippi Grind” and Johnson has some decent comedic chops in “The Rundown” and “Pain and Gain.” I don’t begrudge their success at all, but they’re both clearly running on autopilot, fueled by Mint Mobile, Teremana and Aviation.

The Rock is so naturally funny and charismatic and I hope he gets more movies where he's allowed to be funny

and yeah I hope Ryan does more stuff like Definitely Maybe and The Proposal again, jk they don't make studio romcoms anymore, but he's married to the hottest person on the planet and is friends with Taylor Swift he's fine

  14. I'd be completely fine to never see Kevin Hart, The Rock, Kristen Stewart, and Ryan Reynolds in a movie again. haha

I love Dwayne Johnson, he's so likeable.
I agree he basically plays the same person in every movie. Although I recently watched Pain & Gain and he did a good job not playing his typical character (he's a drug addict religious ex con).

The Rock is a super likeable guy but he plays the same character in everything, just in different settings lol. I'm hoping Black Adam is very different for him

Only if Ryan Gosling wasn’t around at that exact same time. I swear they’re like two halves of the same actor.
