This is probably the weakest matchup so far.

 

I just checked the matrix of the movies... some of these are seriously unfair. That we have to choose between 2 beauties....

Both of these movies... Without either one, we would not have a lot of other movies. These have spawned so many others , similar to their style...

And the catch phrases from both of them - a tossup: from chianti to yippie kai yay

Die Hard put Bruce Willis on the map. There could be no Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys, Armageddon, or 6th Sense....

Forget Christmas.... Maybe Bruce Willis isnt the best actor, sure, but this movie deserves some credit.

But Silence of the Lambs? This isnt fair at all. Die Hard deserves SOMETHING.

Are there ANY negatives to Silence though? I dont think so.

raiders of the lost ark and good time are worse but die hard is probably third worst

And I mean it’s not like being towards the bottom tier of this collection of films is a bad thing, most of these are really strong

 

Watching Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets right now for the bracket and this is definitely my pick for weakest, its the only film I don't really like. Die Hard is probably bottom 5 but I still love it.

Starship Troopers is fantastic, check it out.

 

Die Hard, easily. It is endlessly watchable even after nearly two decades of seeing it at least once a year.
