Haven't watched it a second time yet, but I have a hard time seeing myself like it more than either Casino Royale or Skyfall. It's definitely up there though.

Happy for Craig to be the first Bond actor to end his run with what is largely considered to be a good movie lol

(Lazenby doesn’t count, he only did one)

The legacy of "Last Bond movies" is really rough.

Look, I like that one a lot better than Die Another Day or Diamonds Are Forever.

Discounting OHMSS, I think we can probably all agree that No Time To Die is the best Last Bond Film. Not that that's saying much considering its company but I really did think this was a pretty good Bond film.

Is Daniel Craig is the first actor to voluntarily vacate the role in advance of their last release?

Sean Connery’s tenure is kinda muddled

    Roger Moore aged out

Goldeneye was written for Timothy Dalton before the franchise fell into rights issues, was he let go?

I think Pierce Brosnan was politely excused from the role too?

i mean, it's all kind of nebulous. do we actually know for certain that craig is leaving voluntarily? i doubt we ever know for certain on any of these things.

  15. I love Craig as bond but let him focus on ten more Benoit Blanc movies

    tru dat

This one is novel in that it’s the first to be released and marketed in the context of the actor leaving the role.

Maybe A View To A Kill was marketed as Roger Moore’s last one too, I’m not sure

Finally got to see this today. Thought it was decent overall but wasn’t blown away.

Yeah this was very good. Obviously not as good as Skyfall or Casino but then again few blockbusters are.

Yeah, it's probably not quite on the level of those two (mostly because the villain is so underwritten) but definitely close enough that I'm sure I'll be rewatching this a lot just like I do with those. There's been a lot of talk about how uneven the Craig era was, but it was probably the most consistent of any Bond with more than two movies. Haha

  24. Just finished this and it was a blast (pun intended). Such a range of emotions - ton of fun camp, great set pieces, a surprising amount of heart.

Has its flaws for sure but I really liked this and thought it was a good send off for Craig Bond. It’s not a perfect series but I do enjoy the continuity between it all.

Really excited to go back and watch these all again.

Finally got a chance to watch this and I absolutely loved it. Its early, but for me this was at least as good as Skyfall, possibly even better. I loved the heart. I didn't mind the big bad being underwritten. Kinda felt like less was more in that regard. Bad guy was there because plot, but he wasn't the point of any of it.
